Jamesport resident Jeff Hallock recently completed a four-year restoration on the once dilapidated, now immaculate former sea captain’s home, the Jedediah Hawkins House . The Key-lime-colored mansion, originally built in 1863, has six creatively decorated rooms, but the top-floor Belvedere Suite is the best, with its 360-degree views, and telescope for stargazing.

No matter the season, the Tudor-style inn, nestled in the center of the historic village of Southampton, provides a lovely backdrop anytime of the year. Guests gather on the lush grounds at Southampton Inn with tents set up for the various food and drink stations. The Southampton Inn in the early evening brings to mind an English Country setting with soft lights and beautiful landscaping.

While out east, the ladies can book their own North Fork wine tasting tours through the Inn at East Wind in Wading River. The 25,000 square-foot property has a number of packages for brides, including overnight stays that feature wineries, outlet shopping and pampering spa treatments. Janet Giordano booked the Twilight package for her party of seven, and that includes luxurious accommodations, a glass of wine per person, plus robes and slippers and two spa services.
