Turtle Crossing brought their mouth-watering barbecue fare to hungry East Enders in 1994. Several years later, they’re still one of the Hamptons’ favorite haunts, offering a broad menu that goes beyond traditional southwestern cooking. Turtle Crossing has been cited as serving the "Island’s Best BBQ" by The New York Times and they were named among the "Ten Most Affordable Restaurants on Long Island." Accomplished chef Arthur Wolf executes the menu while owner Stanley Singer, a native Oklahoman, oversees. In addition to the ever-popular combo platters of slow-smoked ribs, chicken and pork, there’s inventive dishes that keep people coming back for more. Starters include: Chili Seared Shrimp with guacamole and roasted corn relish on a crispy corn tortilla and Jalapeno Buttermilk Hushpuppies. Large plates include: Grilled Salmon with goat cheese, chive potato pancake and Swiss chard; "Oh Yeah!" Smoked BBQ Ribs; Sizzlin’ Fajita with steak, chicken or shrimp served with rice, beans, salsa, guacamole, jack cheese, onions, tomatoes, peppers and lime sour cream dressing. There are also tacos, burgers, and sandwiches, including: Fish Tacos with Napa cabbage slaw, tarantella sauce and rice and black beans; Smoked BBQ Pulled Pork and Smoked BBQ Brisket Sandwich with pickles, onions and BBQ sauce in a sesame bun; and Classic Cheeseburger with choice of cheddar, jack or gorgonzola cheese and tomato on a sesame bun. And Turtle Crossing’s "butt kickin" margaritas are the perfect addition to any meal. Turtle Crossing also offers lunch on Saturday and Sunday beginning at noon with menu choices including: Turtle Crossing Breakfast Taco with jalapeno cheese grit mojo; Smoked Salmon Sandwich with cole slaw; and Chipotle Egg Salad Sandwich with fresh fruit cup. Turtle Crossing offers southern style catering for any type of party. Turtle Crossing can cater any event for 10 or more. Choose from Turtle’s tasty BBQ menu as well as special packages like the BBQ lovers with ribs, chicken, brisket, pork and all the fixin’s. They also offers party packs to go for 2 to 10 people featuring their classic BBQ fare complete with coleslaw, baked beans, and corn bread. So for takeout, dine in or your next party call Turtle Crossing. As Gourmet magazine concluded, the food is "so authentic, you might imagine you’ve discovered some perfect roadside joint in Georgia." |
