As the harvest season comes to a close this year, diners and restaurateurs
will be gearing up for the return of the highly successful and much
anticipated Long Island Restaurant Week. With so much culinary variety to
offer and a dining scene that just keeps getting better-from new
restaurants, old favorites, acclaimed chefs, world-class menus and the
finest choices in regional and fusion cuisines-it's only fitting that Long
Island should devote a week to indulging diners with the best food at
bargain prices.

On the calendar: March 26 through April 2 - Hamptons Restaurant Week - Vacationing celebs and barhopping visitors often overshadow The Hamptons’
standout restaurant scene. But for one week before high season hits, it’s
prime time to discover more than 40 top spots, like Della Femina, Nick &
Toni’s, Alison, and JLX Bistro –all of which are offering three-course prix
fixe dinner menus for only $20. Even some local hotels and wineries are
getting in on the act by reducing standard room rates and selling wines at a
discount.

There are plenty of reasons to head out to the Hamptons in the off-season,
but next weekend marks the start of a particularly tasty one. From March 26
to April 2, take advantage of Hamptons Restaurant Week, during which 68
high-end spots from orient point to Calverton are offering three-course
meals for $9.95 as well as special deals on Long Island wines. If you
decide to stay the night, you’ll find discounts on everything from lodging
(like at the Southampton Inn) to shopping and spa treatments. Even a ride
out there is cheaper – Hampton Jitney and Hampton Luxury Liner buses are
cutting their prices that week, too. For more information, visit
