The Ruvo restaurants are owned and operated by four brothers (Jim, Leo, Douglas, and Joe) of the DeNicola family, which settled on Long Island in 1915. Ruvo takes its name from a small hill town in Southern Italy, in the Puglia (Apulia) province that was the ancestral home to part of the DeNicola’s extended family.
