One of the biggest season promotions on Long Island’s East End, the Seventh Annual "Hamptons Restaurant Week" is scheduled to launch Sunday, March 29th through Sunday, April 5th, 2009. For one week before the start of "high season," East End dining will be available for bargain prices. The idea is simple: for one week, Sunday to Sunday, all participating restaurants offer a 3-course prix fixe for $24.95 all night except Saturday when it will be offered only until 7 p.m. Each restaurant offers their own unique menu selections and some restaurants will offer a special discounted bottle of Long Island wine.

In addition to its beautiful beaches, lovely historic villages, vineyards and shopping, the East End of Long Island is well known for its dining scene. Some of the finest food on the East Coast is available in this cluster of elegant resort towns known as The Hamptons. This regional promotion is not limited to just restaurants in the Hamptons – lodging, wineries, retail shops, recreation and transportation outfits, spas and other businesses located on Long Island’s North and South forks offer discounts for visitors and locals throughout the week.

In previous Hamptons Restaurant Week promotions, restaurateurs experienced a surge in business, some, by more than 50%. The campaign also won an honorable mention from the MarCom Creative Awards, an international competition recognizing outstanding achievement by marketing and communications professionals. The event is designed to garner positive publicity and additional business for East End restaurants.
