Mark and Martie Weiner re-invented their eclectic Mexican eatery in Centerport, Ay Caramba! to launch a new venture, PIER 441, in early May 2008. Located on Mill Pond, the nautical-inspired restaurant offers stunning waterfront views, while the kitchen focuses on affordable steak and seafood cuisine. The couple also operated Bayview Bistro in Northport. Mark, a protégé of acclaimed restaurant and club owner Regine Choukron, was also a fixture of Regine’s at the Delmonico Hotel in New York City. The Weiners appointed industry veteran Adam C. Pitré as executive chef.

PIER 441 features an elegant dining room that may accommodate up to 100 guests and offers nearly every table a water-view. The lounge area boasts a chic black bar surrounded by blue lighting and a dance floor fit for late-night guests and Creole music on the weekends.

Appetizers range from $9 to $59, entrées from $18 to $58 and desserts from $6 to $7. Appetizers include: Cinnamon apple salad with mixed greens, Danish bleu cheese, walnuts, and sesame Jerez vinaigrette; petite Kobe burgers with French fries; tuna tartare with cucumber, wasabi, seaweed and sesame ginger dressing; Neptune’s Tower with lobster, shrimp, oysters, clams, jumbo lump crabmeat and a trio of sauces; and Maryland jumbo lump crab cake with corn salad, spicy mayo and chive vinaigrette. Entrées include: Sweet potato shrimp with Samuel Adams brown sugar glaze; BBQ baby back ribs with sweet potato fries; Chilean sea bass with vanilla rum lobster sauce; tagliatelle with Maine lobster, fresh tomato, garlic, basil, and parmesan cheese; and linguini with North Shore clams, garlic, pinot grigio, fresh herbs and lemon. Desserts are housemade and include Key Lime pie, Tahitian vanilla crème brulé, and Bailey’s Irish Cream cheesecake.
