For anyone who wants to satisfy their East Coast Italian craving, Nick DiAngelo is the place to dine. With locations in Merrick and Long Beach, Nick DiAngelo was named in honor of Nick Visconte, a beloved maitre d’hotel at the 18-year-old George Martin The Original restaurant in Rockville Centre, New York. These elegant family-style Chophouses are known for their gargantuan portions of Italian–American favorites such as hearty steaks, fresh seafood and unique pasta dishes. Newsday’s Joan Reminick wrote, "It's stylish, it's hot...room for all kinds of appetites and budgets" in her review of the Merrick location. Peter Gianotti, also of Newsday raved, "Buoyant, boisterous and booming, [Nick DiAngelo in Long Beach] has opened packed tighter than a jar of hot peppers." The restaurants are owned and operated by George Korten, president, and Frank Greco, chef partner, of the George Martin Group. Other restaurants in the group include; George Martin the Original, George Martin’s GrillFire and George Martin’s Coastal Grill. |
