Celebrating 24 years of business, Mirabelle Restaurant is considered by many discriminating gastronomes to be the very best Long Island has to offer. Chef Guy Reuge, who operates the restaurant with his wife Maria, has had an illustrious career both here and abroad, and is highly respected by his peers. He was awarded the prestigious La Toque d’Argent by the Maitres Cuisiniers de France, who declared him "Chef of the Year" in 2006. Mirabelle continues to maintain high standards, renewing and upgrading its menus and wine lists. The recent addition of prix fixe menus completes the restaurant’s dining offerings. A successful offshoot, Mirabelle Catering delivers the quintessential dining experience for on- and off-site celebrations from Montauk to Manhattan. A tireless promoter of the French culinary arts, Chef Reuge also gives monthly cooking classes at the restaurant. He has published a small cookbook, Le Petit Mirabelle and has contributed recipes to many other cookbooks. Chef Reuge is also involved with the All-Clad Cookware company, giving demonstrations in the use of this superior cookware in stores across Long Island. |
