In 2004, the Lombardi family launched Lombardi’s on the Sound, the restaurant at the Port Jefferson Country Club at Harbor Hills. The restaurant introduces fine Southern Italian cuisine with a spectacular waterfront view of the Long Island Sound and Connecticut skyline. With the third generation coming up the ranks, the Lombardi family, which is originally from Naples, Italy, continues to offer generous portions, robust flavors, and superb service that is the hallmark of Mamma Lombardi’s, Villa Lombardi’s and Lombardi’s Market of Holbrook.

In addition to the fine food and exceptional service, the Lombardi family brings their catering expertise to the North Shore making Lombardi’s on the Sound Port Jefferson’s premier single-wedding and waterfront venue. Whether it is a personal or corporate event, an attentive and detail-oriented staff of banquet managers, chefs and personnel aim for perfection. Facilities include a spacious and luxurious catering hall, ballroom and cocktail room as well as an outdoor wedding chapel that sets a gorgeous backdrop for a storybook ceremony.

The restaurant serves authentic, Neapolitan recipes that are far from typical country-club fare. Appetizers vary from $6.95 to 12.95; salads from $4.95 to $9.50; pasta specialties from $13.95 to $19.95; and entrées from $18.95 to $28.95. For starters, guests may feast on stuffed mushrooms; shrimp cocktail; and caprese salad. Main dishes include pork braciola, chicken scarpariello, penne arrabiata, linguine primavera with fresh vegetables, and fresh file of sole Livornese. Diners may top the meal off with one of Lombardi’s homemade desserts including cannoli, cassata cake and napoleon.
