The ever-packed Blue Honu has been revolutionized under the watchful eye of owner and designer, John J. Tunney, III. The new visionary concept developed by John Tunney, his brother David Tunney and John Rieger (owners of Besito in Huntington and Roslyn) is aptly named HONU: Kitchen and Cocktails. HONU celebrates food by offering 23 “small plates” where the intense and flavorful portions are more substantial than an appetizer, yet less hardy than an entrée. Plates will include unmatched signature items, served simply, with fresh ingredients such as lamb with truffle and peas; roasted figs, prosciutto and honey goat cheese; and Chilean sea bass, artichokes and Honshimeji mushrooms.

Under the command of Executive Chef Matthew Lake and Chef Paul Miranda, the menu consists of “vibrant, seasonal flavors that aren’t restricted to any one type of cuisine.” The space is basked in unique, jewel-toned fabrics and features showpieces that reflect a casual yet chic elegance.
