George Martin’s Coastal Grill is a casual, upscale seafood grill with an inviting "by the beach" energy. Opening in May 2007, the eatery is the newest addition to Long Island’s leading restaurant group, the George Martin Group. Owned by George Korten, president, and Frank Greco, chef partner, it is located in the center of Long Beach, New York at the former site of Sui's Schezuan. Recently receiving rave reviews, Joanne Starkey of The New York Times gave the restaurant a very good, as did Peter Gianotti of Newsday also gave the restaurant a very good and Richard Scholem of Long Island Pulse Magazine gave it two stars (mighty fine).

The restaurant’s interior is designed with strong references to the interior of a fine cabin cruiser of decades ago. There are hints of a nautical theme throughout, such as well-positioned sailboats and the sound of water trickling down the flagstone waterfall behind the bar. The large interior is split between a bar and an upper dining room. Hand blown blue and white striped lanterns hang above the bar, while flagstone tile line the floor and booths align the wall. Just a few steps up, guests are greeted by, hardwood floors, tables dressed in white linen tablecloths, chandeliers, and leather booths.

The restaurant offers a large selection of seafood specialties, steaks, chops and chicken as well as salads and sandwiches. Appetizers range from $6 to $14 and include: seafood chorizo gumbo; Asiago dusted zucchini fries; and shrimp enchiladas. Entrées range from $20 to $42 and include: wok seared Ahi tuna; potato wrapped grouper; chili rubbed swordfish; maple grilled Berkshire farms T-bone pork chop; cowboy cut Angus rib eye; and twin Brazilian lobster tails. Desserts, priced from $6, include: Oreo cheese cake; brownie sundae; key lime pie; and frozen profiteroles.

Open seven days a week the hours are: Sunday through Thursday from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. Reservations for parties of five or more are accepted and a phone ahead service is available for all size parties.
