Wall Street may be getting ready for life after Alan Greenspan, but a young artist who made him the heart of her art says Ben Bernanke is unlikely to fire her canvas the way Greenspan did. "Unlike Greenspan, Bernanke has a beard, so you can't see his whole face,"says Erin Crowe, who has painted more than 50 larger-than-life images of the Fed chairman, several of which can be currently seen at her "Goodbye Greenspan" exhibit at the Broome Street Gallery in downtown Manhattan. In a painting titled "Duh," he's clutching his head with a pained expression, while in "Funny You Should Ask," you get to see a rare image of Greenspan grinning. Newsday

Growing up in Manhattan’s famed Chelsea Hotel, Leonard Barton was exposed to a colorful lifestyle early on. With neighbors such as writer Arthur Miller and parents who were part of New York’s downtown arts scene (his mother was painter Irene Zevon and his stepfather was celebrated Russian abstract surrealist Nahum Tschacbasov), Barton went on to become a fine art publisher, an artist in his own right, and today, the owner of Bravura Art and Objects Gallery in Southampton.
