Aquadeco® Premium Spring Water is a bottled, non-carbonated spring water born from the world’s largest sources of fresh water: Canada. Founder Arnold Gumowitz set out to find a water considerably different from the spring waters he had tasted before. His goal: to find a water that does not merely sustain life, but one that actually enhances life. His search led him to Ontario where he partnered with Muskoka Springs Natural Spring Water, Inc. Nestled in the hills of the township of Oro-Medonte, the aquifer that supplies Aquadeco, contains an abundant reserve of the purest water ever tasted. The source is located on an undifferentiated glacial till with a predominantly sandy silt matrix, which was created during the last Ice Age 18,000 years ago. The retreating ice flow left a glaciofluvial ice-contact deposit of sand with gravel. These distinctly different layers of soils formed an incredible filtration matrix. The water filtration process results in the removal of ions, pollutants and undesirable compounds, producing a drinking water that is exceptionally pure and healthful. Water testing on the property has proved conclusively that the quality of this spring water falls within the highest ranks of spring water in the world. This source has also been granted the "Spring Water" designation under Canada’s strict government regulations. Gumowitz combined this pure Canadian water with his Art Deco-inspired bottle. His design, derived from his love for real estate and art, embodies a statuesque Art Deco structure. To bring the bottle to life, he teamed with Flowdesign, a Manhattan firm that provides innovative design solutions from beverages to household goods. The Aquadeco® package was introduced via a soft launch in 2007 and has won several awards including gold medals “People’s Choice Packaging” and for “Best Tasting Non-Carbonated Spring Water” at the 2007 Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting Festival. |
