Almoncello, located in East Hampton, is a Northern Italian trattoria. Owned by Eric Lemonides and Jason Weiner, who also own the wildly successful Almond, the French bistro in Bridgehampton, Almoncello offers a relaxed and cozy atmosphere. Featuring leather booths and a fireplace in the bar area, dark wood floors, crisp white table cloths topped with rustic craft paper, and espresso brown and deep red color splashes throughout the space. Wine bottles line the walls while red and cream wallpaper splashes selected walls. Add to the warm Italian ambiance, a cordial host in co-owner Eric Lemonides whose travels through Northern Italy have given him a true feeling of the dining culture in Italy which he imparts at Almoncello.

Executive Chef Weiner and Chef de Cuisine John O'Connell have created a menu featuring Bolognese-inspired cuisine. Weiner’s travels to Italy deepened his knowledge into the strong emphasis on the craft of cooking and the quality of ingredient. His menu at Almoncello reflects this artisanal and seasonal approach to cooking. Antipasti choices include: salumi with sliced cured meats and house-spun mozzarella; and scallop carpaccio with pomegranate, grapefruit granita, crispy leeks and artisinal olive oil. Primi choices include: Malfatti – spinach & sheepsmilk ricotta gnocchi with ricotta salata; and rabbit ravioli with delicata squash and mushroom ragu, sage and white truffle oil. Secondi selections include: porchetta, roast pork shoulder with spiced red cabbage, apples and black pepper spaetzle; whole roasted branzino with baby root vegetables and roasted pepper aceto dulce; and osso buco Milanese with wilted arugula, saffron risotto and gremolata. Finally the dessert selections include: nutella marscapone torta with huckleberry glaze; white chocolate panna cotta; and warm zeppole with limoncello syrup.
